The 24 Hours of Le Mans was held in Le Mans on August 17. European art collective Automobilist announced the launch of the very first collection of nonfungible tokens ( NFT ) for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. .

The sports car race known as the 24H of Le MansIt is an annual race that is very popular in France. It is also the oldest endurance car racing event in all of Europe. The first 24H of Le Mans was held in May 1923. Riders used the public roads in the city near the Sarthe. The 24H of Le Mans and Automobilist, a group of motorsport and automobile enthusiasts, announced Tuesday that they would launch the race’s first NFT collection.
According to the announcement the collection was designed and manufactured by Motorist, and the NFTs are hosted on the blockchain service platform Bitsky. The 24 Hours of Le Mans and the NFT Automobilists will present “iconic cars and highlights” from the famous race. According to Bitski, the “24 Hours of Le Mans” drop will be posted at 8 a.m. (PST) on August 20. This year 89th Le Mans endurance raceFrance begins in three days on August 21st and 22.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans NFT Drop will feature iconic racing cars such as the Ford GT40 or Jaguar D-Type.
The NFT Legends of Le Mans’ collection will feature a variety of unique, non-fungible symbol works of art. The auction is scheduled to coincide with this year’s race. The NFTs will feature iconic vehicles from the 1940s and 1970s, such the Ford GT40 and Jaguar D-Type. The Automobilist created the piece of art “Fords and the Furious”, which has been officially licensed and accepted by the 24H de Le Mans. There will also be limited edition tributes, according to the announcement.
“Each Le Mans car and edition has its own unique story to tell and thanks to this NFT drop, motorsport fans and enthusiasts now have the opportunity to own officially licensed 24H Le Mans digital artwork, each with its own unique story visually represented by Automobilist, ”says Pavel Turek, CEO of Automobilist.
The Automobilist and the 24H of Le Mans are not the only motorsport enthusiasts to have entered the non-fungible token market. Notable brands such as Porsche and Motor Team McLaren are among those who have entered the NFT arena.
